Anthon has been working with Python on a professional basis since 1998,
after having been introduced to the language a few years earlier while
working in Amsterdam. He has contributed several packages to PyPI including
a full-fledged C implementation of ordereddict since 2007 and a round-trip
capable YAML 1.2 parser since 2014.
His educational was in General Linguistics which didn't help him much during his professional career that spanned 3 continents, managing 3D and 2D computer graphics software development. He first presented at PyCon 2006 Dallas/Texas and since 2013 has been board member of the EuroPython Society.
