I've been working professionally with Python and Django at Lincoln Loop since 2009. I first came to the Python in 2005 and to Django when building aggregation support for the ORM on a GSoC in 2008 and have been part of the community ever since. Nowadays, I work as a consultant building Django sites focusing mostly in the backend and infrastructure / devops (with occasional trips into the JS world) .
