Python in Production Engineering

Python is the most used language by production engineers [0], and the second most used by Facebook infrastructure teams. We use it in domains such as infrastructure management (network/server provisioning, service turnup, auto-remediation [1] of server and services failures), platform services (package deployment, job scheduling, TFTP [2] and kernel upgrades), service configuration management [3] or operational tooling.
